Meet the San Carlos School District
The San Carlos School District (SCSD) is a public Pre-K to 8th grade school district located in San Carlos, California serving over 3,300 students. The school district serves the vast majority of the students within the city of San Carlos, a town of just under 30,000 residents, located approximately midway between San Francisco and San Jose. San Carlos has for years been a magnet for families attracted by the small town atmosphere, desirable location and excellent schools.
The district has seven schools including four elementary schools, two upper elementary school, two grade 6-8 middle schools and one K-8 charter school. Read the district’s strategic plan.
After graduating from 8th grade, students typically go on to the Sequoia Union High School District, and most often to Sequoia High School or Carlmont High School.
