At Arundel Elementary, we believe every child deserves a learning environment where they feel known, supported, and inspired to grow. Serving students in Transitional Kindergarten through third grade, we foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence through engaging instruction and meaningful relationships. Our dedicated staff partners with families to create a welcoming community where students build strong academic foundations, develop character, and discover the joy of learning every day.

Healthy Cities Tutoring 2026

Spotlight on Excellence🔦: Healthy Cities Tutoring

Each month, our Spotlight on Excellence highlights a unique aspect of what makes San Carlos schools exceptional.

On September 10, we proudly shared highlights of HCT’s impact on students and introduced a tutor-student pair, who shared their personal experiences with the program. This year also marks the 30th Anniversary of HCT!

Bonds vs. Parcel Taxes: What’s the difference?

Both provide important local funding for San Carlos schools—but they support very different things.

BONDS = BUILDINGS
Bond funding, such as Measure H, supports long-term improvements to school facilities, including classrooms, roofs, windows, HVAC systems and modernization projects.

PARCEL TAXES = PEOPLE + PROGRAMS
Parcel tax funding supports ongoing educational programs and services, including teachers and academic programs that directly support students.

As we look ahead to the upcoming parcel tax renewal, we want our community to understand how local school funding works—and why these two funding sources are not interchangeable.

Principal's Message

Welcome to our school! 
 
Arundel School has a well-earned reputation for providing rich learning experiences for children in a kind and caring environment. I am committed to elevating joy on our campus.
This year, we’re focused on the following key areas as we continue to implement our Strategic Plan:

Refine our pedagogy to align with best practices that are rooted in developmental science 
Foster the attributes and skills outlined in our Learner Profile 
Supporting parents as partners in their child’s educational journey
 
We believe that school should encourage and support risk-taking, play, and the pursuit of individual passions while fostering the intrinsic motivation to learn and discover the world around us. Our goal is that students will leave Arundel as independent, successful, lifelong learners who work to achieve their personal best, innovate through challenges, and positively contribute to our ever-changing global community.
