SCSD Air Quality Protocols

SCSD has protocols in place to prioritize student and staff safety, as well as ensure learning continues when air quality conditions shift. Our priority is to maintain safe in-person learning for students.

You can find the most current SCSD Air Quality Protocols on our website. Consistent with the County Office of Education and the San Mateo County Health Department, SCSD uses Air Now and Bay Area Air Quality Management District Index to monitor climate conditions.  Click on the title link to learn more.

Breakfast and Lunch Menu

Free Breakfast and Lunch - Just a reminder that there is no need to order breakfast and/or lunch this year; however, please have a discussion with your child regarding whether they are picking up from the Multi-Use (MU) room or bringing food from home. On Wednesdays and minimum days, students will pick up lunch during morning recess (10-10:45am) as we are not allowed to send meals directly home or to after-school programs. Please consider this when making food choices on these days. Note that September will include more lunch options, pizza on Fridays, and more cold lunches on Wednesdays/minimum days. C

Support Our School

Volunteer for the PTA and save the date for the first meeting on Sept. 12
It was wonderful to welcome those returning and meet new families on Wednesday! We hope you enjoyed the coffee cart, just a small example of ways the PTA tries to foster community.

CALL TO ACTION: Please take a moment to consider donating to SCEF and volunteering your time. In addition to the many events held for the kids at school, your donations and volunteer efforts make possible: mini grants for all teachers and staff, access for our students to mental health support staff, our extremely robust school library as well as individual classroom libraries, Art in Action, school assemblies, staff appreciation luncheons, and more. Thank you to those who have already filled out the volunteer form!

We are fortunate to be part of the San Carlos School District that is nurtured and maintained by such a wonderful and caring community. We couldn’t do this without you and your generous support. We are hoping for 100% participation in whatever way you can, to benefit our kids.

Our first PTA meeting will be hosted at our PTA co-president, Amanda Kanabe's house on September 12. Additional details, including RSVP link will follow.
