It is fun to be a part of helping them learn and grow socially/emotionally-especially in the younger grades.

cNichole Crawford
  •  I started teaching at Arundel School in 2018.  Before coming to San Carlos School District, I taught 2nd, 4th and 5th grade in Foster City for 13 years.
  •  I was inspired to become a teacher for many reasons.   I had some amazing role models that were also teachers while growing up.  I admired the way my teachers were able to engage and excite their students in all subjects but especially science and math.  Later after going to college for an entirely different major, I reflected on my own experiences of falling in love with math and science and wanted to return the favor.  I decided to go back to college to get my credential so I could excite children in math and science as much as my mentor teachers did for me.
  • Hobbies/Interests: I love to spend time with my husband, daughter, and son.  We love to be outside and enjoying nature. Our favorite spot to visit is Lake Tahoe.  I also love to snowboard, read, travel, photography, and watch my kids play sports.
  • Fun Fact: I wanted to be an astronaut when I was little.  Although that didn’t happen, I did have the opportunity to work on the main engines that propel the space shuttles into space.  I also was involved when they tested the engines. It was an amazing experience!
